Bytenot — worry not about your tech

Designing, Developing InnovativeAI Solutions for Businesses

We are here, to close the gap between your idea and implementation. Worry not about how it's done, let us handle that.

Our expertise

Production web applications built to be handed over, not held hostage. Typed end to end, tested, and documented well enough that another team could pick them up tomorrow.

  • Next.js and React applications
  • Design systems and component libraries
  • API design and integration

How we work

From the first call to the handover.

The same four steps every time, so you always know which one you are in and what comes next.

  1. Understand

    Week 0

A thirty-minute call and a short written brief. We ask what the business needs to happen, not what the software should look like — those are different questions, and the second one is ours to answer.

  2. Shape

    Week 1

A proposal with the scope, a fixed price or a range, and what we would leave out to fit it. You see the trade-offs before you commit to anything, and you can push back on all of them.

  3. Build

    Weeks 2 onward

Short cycles, working software from the first fortnight, and a demo every week on real data. Nothing is shown as a slide that could be shown running.

  4. Hand over

    The last fortnight

Documented, tested, and yours. We stay for an agreed period after launch, then your team — or whoever you choose next — runs it without us. That is the point of the way we build.

Questions

The ones every first call starts with.

  • Every proposal is priced before you commit — a fixed price for a fixed scope, or a range when the scope is still moving. If a budget is tight we say what we would leave out to fit it rather than quietly building less. The enquiry form asks for a band so the first conversation can be about the work.

  • You do, from the first commit. The repository is yours, the accounts are in your name, and there is nothing we hold on to. Handing over properly is the point of how we build.

  • A focused automation can ship in a few weeks; a product build runs a few months. Either way you see working software within the first fortnight and a demo every week, so the timeline is something you watch rather than something you are told.

  • Yes, and often that is the better shape. We will read what you have before proposing anything, and we would rather add to a system your people understand than replace it with one only we do.

  • An agreed period of support is part of every proposal. After that, your team runs it — documented, tested, and without needing us on a retainer. If you would like us to stay on, that is a separate, plainly priced arrangement.

  • No. We work remotely with clients in several countries, with a weekly call at a time that suits you and everything else in writing where it can be found again.

Tell us about your project.

We will tell you what is worth building, what is not, and roughly what it takes.
